The Great Mother

reflecting on life: stories, wisdom, inspiration, aggravation

EML May 14, 2008

Over three years ago, I began keeping a journal for my son in hopes of remembering and marking our life together for now and for the future.  I have written about my experiences of pregnancy and continue to record anecdotes from daily life as well as my dreams for my son and, now, my daughter.

Becoming a mother, an active evolution yet, has birthed new insights, self awareness, and theological reflection.  After a particularly trying day with my then two year-old son, I decided that this quest should be shared.  An emerging side-effect is the dialogue among mothers and women that some of my posts spark.  I hope to keep the conversation going and thank you for joining my journey.
